Good design is obvioAssaya is an international artist exploring the fluidity of perception, the instability of form, and the interplay between matter, consciousness, and energy. In her works, boundaries are never fixed — forms emerge and dissolve, balancing between stability and disintegration, order and chance. They offer no definitive answers, existing in multiple states simultaneously, activated by the viewer’s gaze.
At the core of her artistic practice is not just painting, but a fundamental dialogue with philosophy, quantum physics, and perception. She holds a PhD in Economics, which informs her structured, analytical approach to art, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the Roma University of Fine Arts (RUFA), where she developed her distinctive artistic language.
Her art does not capture form as a static entity; instead, it allows the viewer to experience the moment of its becoming and disappearance, much like quantum particles that materialize only through observation.
To visualize these transitional states, Assaya developed her own signature technique of point-based application, which conveys vibration, diffusion, and multilayered depth. She works with oil and acrylic on canvas, using handmade stiff-hair brushes crafted from horsehair. This method ensures that her surfaces are never static — they shift, pulse, and transform, making forms appear and vanish, creating a sense of presence and impermanence at once.
Her works explore the boundaries between the personal and the collective, the real and the simulated, drawing the viewer into a process of perception.
Assaya’s paintings are not mere images, but moments of participation, where the observer becomes part of the interaction, merging movement, structure, and the ambiguity of space.
Assaya exhibits internationally, with her works showcased in Germany, Portugal, Italy, Monaco, and Azerbaijan. They are also part of private collections in various countries.
